Joris Lohman is the chairman of the Slow Food Youth Network (SFYN) and a member of the Executive Committee of Slow Food International. Slow Food and its youth network (<32) is a in international grassroots movement of chefs, farmers, food producers, scholars and food professionals that are actively changing the future of food and farming. Slow Food aims to realize a world where good, clean and fair food is available for everyone.
In 2011 he co-founded the Food Film Festival Amsterdam. In 2013 (25th) and 2014 (18th) he was elected in the list of 100 most influential people in the field of sustainability in the Netherlands. Lohman holds a Master’s degree in Political Science of the University of Amsterdam and the Université Paris VII in Paris.
