Roman Gysel works in the field of renewable energy production since 2002. In a first approach, he explored and engineered new functional materials for photovoltaics. Roman Gysel has earned a master degree in materials science from ETH Zürich and was awarded with a PhD degree after pursuing scientific research at EPFL Lausanne. He continued his research approach at Stanford University in California in the field of organic photovoltaic materials.
Roman Gysel manages the project business activities of Meyer Burger AG in Switzerland since 2011. He and his team develop cost-effective Swiss solutions for solar electrical and heat energy production systems. We produce our main components, namely PV and hybrid modules, in the factory in Thun.
